Cake Orders

 

• 2 weeks notice is advised to book your special celebration cake and 3 weeks for novelty and tiered cakes. Some customer prefer to book months in advance so your chosen date may be subject to availability.

• 3 - 6 months notice is advised to book your special wedding cake. Please check that your chosen date available.

• Late order cakes - In the event that you need a cake at a short notice, 7 working days (excluding weekends) notice is required. This is subject to availability. Every effort will be made to fulfill your order but please be aware that this means rearranging the work shcedule for that week in order to create your cake. Any orders accepted in less than 7 working days will incur an additional £10 express fee and may require a simplified design.

 

Cakes

 

• All cakes are made of vanilla sponge with butter cream and jam unless another flavour of your choice has been requested. No nuts or alchohol present. Other flavours will incur an extra charge.

• Some fruitcakes and carrot cake contain nuts. Fruitcakes contain alchohol. You must state at time of order if you prefer for your cake not to contain any of these.

• Vegan/dairy-free/eggless cakes are available.

• If you have ordered a buttercream cake (either filled or covered) you must keep it in a cool or air conditioned room during hot or summer months otherwise it will melt.

 

Payments and Terms

 

• All cake orders over £60.00 require a 50% non-refunable deposit on time of booking to secure the booking.

• All cake orders £60.00 and under required full payment at time of order.

• Without a deposit or payment, your cake is not added to the cake calendar. This means that should the we become fully booked on your chosen date between the time you enquire and the time you pay, unfortunately it will not be possible to take on your order.

• Your wedding cake balance is due 2 weeks before your delivery/collection date. For other cakes the balance can be paid before or, on delivery/collection.

• Orders placed within 7 working days or less days before the required date must be paid in full at time of booking.

• Payments accepted are bank transfers and Paypal. We do not accept cheques.

 

Cancellations and Refunds

 

• Deposits are non-refundable or transferrable.

• Cancelled cake order deposits cannot be transferred onto another order.

• Every effort is made to ensure that your cake is of high standard. However, should you have any issue with your purchase, I must be notified within 2 hours of you accepting your cake. Your Cake/s, or part* of your cake/s, must be returned within two days so that your complaint can be fairly assessed. Alternatively a photo of your cake can be provided within 2 hours of accepting your cake.

• *Refunds can not be given on cakes whereby 50% or more of the cake has already been consumed.

• No refunds are given on cakes cancelled less than 2 weeks prior to collection or delivery.

 

 

Delivery and Collections

 

• Delivery is available to addresses within 10 miles radius of Belvedere, Bexley. Collections are welcome.

• We do not deliver on Sundays and Public Holidays. Collections are not available on these day either.

• Delivery/collection is available between 10am - 2pm Monday to Fridays and at available times on Saturdays unless a special arrangment has been made. Specific times can not be given.

• A courier service is available for some cakes. This service is provided on the understanding that once in the hands of the courier, the cake becomes the responsibility of the customer. While every effort is made to ensure cakes are well packaged & protected for safe transportation, Favoured Cakes is not liable for any unforseen circumstances that may occure during transportation.

• In the very rare occasion a hand delivered cake is damaged in transitthey are usually easily repaired otherwise, if it is irrepairable, a full refund is given. 

• Favoured Cakes is not liable for any damages once cakes are safely delivered or set-up.

• If you will not be home, deliveries can be made to your neighbour. Please specify your neighbours complete address. 

• Deliveries to Venues - I deliver to work addresses, halls and venues also. An additional fee of £5.00 may be added to your quoted delivery charge for this service.

• Please note, I do not deliver to the following addresses:

  • PO Boxes

  • Tower Bridge Walkways, Tower Bridge Road, London, SE1 2UP

  • Tower Bridge Exhibition, SE1 2UP

  • Alternative delivery arrangements can be made.
